The Titans have a new GM, and his first job is to figure out a QB.  The decision on Ward over Sanders comes down to fit, and the Titans prefer the bigger body Ward, and although Ward played many more games in college, he still took less hits than Sanders.  NFL  comparison – Cam Newton

The Browns are going to try this again, for what feels like the umpteenth time.  Hopefully for the Brownies faithful they get their guy this time.  No one can say Sanders doesn’t have the NFL pedigree, or big arm and play ability.  The biggest question is can he be coached to get rid of the ball quicker, and stop taking soo many hits?   NFL comparison-  David Carr

The Giants end up getting a quarterback in free agency, which makes this pick all that much easier.  Heisman trophy winner Travis Hunter will likely test out very well, and with the Giants roster needing many upgrades; the chances of Hunter playing both ways for the GMEN is strong.                         NFL comparison – Jabrill Peppers

The Patriots feel like they have all the parts to be a great Team once again.  A new coach, a franchise QB, great lineman on both sides of the ball, and of course top notch ownership.   This is pretty early for a defensive tackle, however unlike most years, there is really not a question of who’s the best.  Graham a true junior, took over games and dominated his time in Ann Arbor.  NFL comparison – Ndomikan Suh

The Jaguars are rebuilding again, however unlike most rebuilds, it seems as if they have their QB.  Regardless, the takes best player approach is the move here.  Carter like a couple number 11’s before him (Micah Parson, Lavarr Arrington) wreck havoc on games.  If the Jags could get the defense and coach figured out they may be onto something.  NFL comparison – Micah Parson

The Raiders have Tom Brady as one of their owners now.  They expect to use the GOAT’s advice in the draft, coaching search, and free agency.  There are a few directions they could go here, with WR, and OL among their multiple needs.  However, most expect the first corner off the board to be Will Johnson, and the next best corner to fall somewhere in the teens.  Raiders cannot take the risk, and draft from Brady’s alma mater to shutdown one side of the field.  NFL comparison – Pat Surtain  

The JETS have a new coach, likely a new QB, and hopefully a whole new vibe! Pearce is an absolute wrecking ball, who probably with better coaching could have been the best player in SEC this year.  Pearce should light up the combine, and fit in real well on the vaunted J.E.T.S. The first non-QB player off the board on offense, TM is an absolute beast in both route running, and big play ability; to go along with his 6’5” body.  With a better roster in Tucson you would of heard more about the best receiver in the nation, but here we are.  The Panthers are building around Bryce Young, and with McMillian they now have 3 young receivers who can all grow and develop with Young.              NFL comparison – Drake London

In a bit of a surprise, the first tackle doesn’t come off the board until pick 9.  The Saints need a ton, but more than anything they need to protect their QB (whoever that may be).  The Saints make this pick as quick as they can, somewhat in disbelief that the best offensive tackle in college is still available.  NFL comparison – Andrew Thomas

Protect Caleb Williams. Protect Caleb Williams. Protect Caleb Williams.  The Bears need to keep their star QB upright in 2025, he was the most sacked/hit QB in the league this year.  Not too many people disagree that there are 2 top tackles in this years draft, and the Bears get the second one Banks, hailing from Austin where he dominated for the past couple years.   NFL Comparison – Taylor Decker

Burch was oft-injured his final season with the Ducks, but when healthy absolutely dominant.  His measurable will be impressive at the combine as well.  The 49ers are going to look different next year, the cannot afford to resign all their players while also giving Brock Purdy a deal.  A new defensive coordinator in SF will love this pick.  NFL Comparison – Dexter Lawrence

The Cowboys are very familiar with the College Station product who has been a special player for a couple years now. Less than 3 hours away, it’s hard to see the Cowboys passing on this freak athlete if he’s available.         NFL Comparison – Jared Verse

A small run on defensive lineman continues with the FINS taking a nasty edge rusher out of Athens to pair with second year stud Chop Robinson.  This year is likely McDaniel last season if they don’t make playoffs, and who knows what’s going to happen with Tua and Tyreek.  Building a strong defense will hopefully pay its dividens.   NFL Comparison – Travon Walker

The Colts absolutely love that Warren falls to them at 14.  A great piece to add to a young offense that already features: Johnathan Taylor, Michael Pittman, Adonai Mitchell, and Alex Pierce.  Coach Stiken will likely be aggressive in free agency to find a guy who can run his system.  The Colts could be 2025’s sleeping GIANT.  NFL Comparison – Sam LaPorta

The Falcons know who their QB is now and the future, Michael Penix needs protected now.  With some of the best weapons in the league on offense, if Penix can have time the Falcons can be elite!  Nolen has been the top OT since he was in 9th grade, and has all the measurable.  Work ethic can make this pick a future HOF, or a journeyman NFL lineman.  NFL Comparison – Juwan Taylor 

The other mamouth tackle from Austin, Williams may have been the more reliable of the two first rounder tackles.  He also may have a bit lower of a ceiling than Banks, but there’s no coaching 370lbs! Hopefully a better offensive line can lead to more wins for the Cards, otherwise expect to see Gannon and Kyler gone by 2026. NFL comparison – Christan Baramore

Hello Tee Higgins 2.0.  It’s no question the Bengals are not going to be able to afford to bring back both Chase and Higgins this offseason.  As good as Tee has been, he’s no Jamar.  So the Bengals waste no time replacing Higgins with a younger version of the same player. The Seahawks have plenty to address in the offseason, priority one being tightening up the defense, which is supposed to be head coach McDonalds forte.  The one time University of Michigan defensive coordinator under Harbaugh. – Mac recruited and coached Grant, and knows just what kind of player and person he’s getting.  NFL Comparison – Jalen Carter

The Broncos have their coach and QB of the future.  Protecting him is an off-season priority.  Why not start with a stud tackle out of Oregon, who just two years ago was protecting Bo Nix as a Duck.         NFL Comparison – Paris Johnson

The Texans regressed in 2025, and a lot of it was because the offensive weapons were hurt all at different times of the year.  Whether it was Mixon, Collins, or Dell – Houston could just not find a way to stay healthy.  Adding another outside threat in Texas star receiver Bond gets the juice back! Another speed rusher goes off the board, and Todd Bowels and company love the tenacity and motor.  The NFL is coming down to, who can get the QB, and who can protect their QB.  The BUCS decide to stay aggressive with adding Stewart to their young front.      NFL comparison – Javon Hargrave

The Steelers hoped to find a complementary piece to George Pickens in the 2024 draft as well as free agency.  Neither seemed to work out, so they take another swing with OSU playmaker Ebuka.  As sure handed as it gets, with great route running and speed this is a great value pick for the Steelers.     NFL Comparison – Michael Pittman

Another pick, another go get the QB guy.  In 2024 Sean McVay had great luck with drafting defensive lineman, so he hopes the dice stay hot with Georgia freak athlete Williams. NFL Comparison – Rashawn Gary

Not many picks in the first round are this obvious, but it’s pretty safe to say if Loveland is available Jim Harbaugh is taking him.  It also happens to be a huge need for the Bolts, as Hayden Hurst and Will Dissly have just not worked out.  Expect a “who’s got it better than us” from Jim after this pick. The Ravens have an all pro in Kyle Hamilton, but with how hard he plays he’s bound to miss a game or 5.  There is no better player to learn the position from than an all pro, and John Harbaugh wastes no time bringing in the safety out of Athens.                          NFL Comparison – Brian Branch

The Vikings found out late in the year, the same thing the Packers discovered, the NFC North has stud receivers on every team.  Drafting Amos helps the SKOL add depth and talent to the back end who likely will lose it’s DC Flores to a Head Coaching gig somewhere in the league. The run on back end guys continue with the Bills tabbing another guy out of Austin.  Brown was a great player for Texas, and has shown the ability to mix into different positions like the Bills will expect and need.  NFL Comparison – Carlton Davis

The Eagles take the first player in this years draft not from a power 5 confrence .  Green is quick and mean, should fit in great along with Carter, and the other young Eagles defenders.      NFL Comparison – Derek Burnett

And the rich get richer.  Who would of thought Jeanty would still be available at 31?  Andy Reid lost his starting RB this season for almost 8 weeks.  He doesn’t want that to happen again so he adds the consensus top back in the draft.                                   NFL Comparison – Ezekil Elliott

The Lions at one point in 2024 had 16 defensive players on IR, more than half of them starters.  They were especially unlucky with their D-Line losing 4 players to season ending injuries.  Sawyer, helps fix that, and fits in great with multiple buckeyes on the lions roster.
