You Are Here:2024 NFL Mock Draft 1.1
  1. Chicago Bears – QB – Caleb Williams – USC  Question mark of the offseason is trade Justin Fields or not?  In the end, the Bears just couldn’t pass up on a generational QB with as much promise as Caleb.  With DJ Moore, and Cole Kmet already on the roster and a strong defense, the Bears may be closer to the playoffs than expected.  NFL comparison – Donovan McNabb
  2. Washington Commanders – QB – J.J. McCarthy – Michigan  The biggest riser of the draft season is no other than McCarthy.  His critics will say he doesn’t pass, his suitors will say he didn’t have to, 21, and is a winner with a full bag    NFL comparison – Joe Burrow
  3. New England Patriots – QB – Jayden Daniels – LSU     Most experts expect the Pats to be sniffing around the NFL FA QB’s in the offseason.  Russ, Cousins, Tannehill may all be available, but the Heisman lights the combine on fire, and can make all the throws required in the NFL.  The new coaching staff has their franchise QB.    NFL comparison – Marcus Mariotta
  4. Arizona Cardinals – WR – Marvin Harrison – Ohio State   John Gannon and the AZ staff almost traded up for Maserati; but they stood firm at 4 and got their guy! The expectation is MHJr in his first NFL game already ranks in the top 20 of WR’s in the NFL.  No record is safe, and AZ loves Kyler’s new Nuke!     NFL comparison – DeAndre Hopkins
  5. Los Angeles Chargers – OL – J.C. Lantham – Alabama    Harbaugh gets a monster lineman, color anyone surprised.  NFL comparison – Andrew Thomas
  6. New York Giants – QB Drake Maye –   New owners, new GM, new coach, and now new FRANCHISE QB.  Maye might be the safer pick than Caleb, due to his stature and NFL ready body/arm.  Expect Washington to add more weapons for their QB later in the draft.                       NFL comparison – Josh Allen
  7. Tennessee Titans – OL – Olu Fashanu – Penn State   Most mock drafts have OLU gone by 7, but the new Tiatns staff gets a building block Tackle to help protect Well Levis NFL comparison – Rashawn Slater
  8. New York Jets – OL – Joe Alt – Notre Dame  The J.E.T.S. are going to run it back with last years team, plus a healthy Aaron Rodgers.  Protecting the 40 year old legend has to be priority #1, and expect them to add addtional OL in the draft and free agency.   NFL comparison – Ronnie Stanley
  9. Atlanta Falcons – DB – Kool-Aid McKinstry – Alabama The first DB off the board this year goes to  ATL.  Most likely a new coaching staff, a new quaterback via free agency or trade (cough cough Justin Fields).      NFL comparison – Patrick Surtain Jr.
  10. Chicago Bears – OL – Troy Fautanu – Washington  Whether the line is protecting Justin Fields or Caleb Williams doesn’t matter; what does matter is they get better.  Ranked in the bottom 5 OLines for the 3rd consecutive year, the Bears must improve in the trenches       NFL comparison – Peter Skoronski.
  11. LA Raiders – QB – Michael Penix Jr – Washington  In maybe the first head scratcher of the draft, the Raiders take a QB at eleven, even though they have a rookie and Jimmy G both under contract.       NFL comparison – Tua Tagovailoa
  12. Minnesota Vikings – LB – Dallas Turner – Alabama   This BAMA stud comes in and plays day 1 for a Vikings defense that needs to be better.  The Captain of the Tide defense has plus athleticism along with incredible tackling, and most important an every down player     NFL comparison –  T.J. Watt
  13. New Orleans Saints – DT – Jer’Zhan Newton – Illinois  The defense in the big easy is getting old, with Cam Jordan and Honey Badger on the back 40, it’s time to get younger and faster.  Newton was actually the best DL in the Big Ten this year, ahead of all the big names at Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn St.  Plug and play for a decade type player   NFL  comparison – Akeem Spence
  14. Denver Broncos – DB – Terrion Arnold – Alabama   The Broncos need about 15 players it seems.  One guy they dont need to upgrade is their current shut down corner Pat Surtain Jr.  By adding another BAMA DB who Suratin is familiar with, hopefully locks down the position group for years to come.   NFL comparison – Stephon Gilmore
  15. Seattle Seahawks – DL – Chop Robinson – Penn State   The Legion of Boom is a forgotten group, and all of those players who made up the fearless defense are either in media now, or out of the NFL.  Insert Chop Rob, and you are on your way back to a formidable group.  Some experts believe Chop Rob is the best defensive player in this draft.   NFL comparison – Micah Parsons
  16. Cincinnati Bengals – WR – Malik Nabers – LSU  It’s going to be hard to keep Chase, Higgins, and Boyd together for the 2024 season.  However, for Nabers to fall all the way to 16 catches the Bungles off guard, and they scoop him up in quick order.    NFL comparison – Antonio AB Brown
  17. Arizona Cardinals – WR – Rome Odunze – Washington  Lightning strikes twice for Kyler and the Cards.  Odunze is a star, and some believe he might be better than the two receivers taken before him, including his new TEAMMATE Maserati MARV.  The Cards coaching staff is going all in on offense for 2024.      NFL comparison -Davante Adams
  18. Pittsburgh Steelers – DE – Jared Verse – Florida State   TJ Watt needs help off the other side so that he cannot be doubled or tripled every down.  The star DE from FSU looks to be ready to play day 1, and just might be the starter.    NFL comparison – Trey Hendrickson
  19. Green Bay Packers – OL – Taliese Fuaga – Oregon State     Protecting Jordan Love is the priority for the coaching staff.  The team has young weapons everywhere, and now it’s time to invest in the trenches.  NFL comparison – Jordan Mailata
  20. Tampa Bay Buccaners – DB – Nate Wiggins – Clemson   The Bucs had a better 2023 than most expected, but late games against Saints and Panthers showed their weakness on the back end.  Mainly due to injuries, the back 4 needs depth and players for 2024 to be even a better year.       NFL comparison –  A.J. Terrell
  21. Indianapolis Colts – WR – Keon Coleman – Florida State – With AR-15 coming back healthy in 2024, having a full complement of weapons is important for Shane Steichen.  I would say Michael Pittman, Alex Pierce, Johnathan Taylor, and now Keon Coleman look to see a huge jump from the Colts Offense this year.  NFL comparison – Mike Evans
  22. L.A. Rams – OL – Amarius Mims – Georgia   The Rams MUST get better upfront.  Matthew Stafford was hit more than any other qb in 2023.  Stat Padford when upright has proved he can sling it with anyone in the league, now just KEEP HIM HEALTHY!  NFL comparison – Broderick Jones
  23. Jacksonville Jaguars – DL – Laiatu Latu – UCLA   The JAGS have invested heavily on their offense in back to back years.  This year they lean into their slow/old defense for some reinforcements.   NFL comparison –  Jaelen Phillips
  24. Buffalo Bills – OL – Patrick Paul – Houston    A Mauler who can help solidtify the trenches, and help the Bills run game.       NFL comparison – Joel Bitonio
  25. Kansas City Chiefs – WR – Xavier Legette – South Carolina   Stop me if you have heard this before, ” The Chiefs need more weapons”?.  Well, here you go Patty Mahomes     NFL comparison – Michael Pittman
  26. Miami Dolphins – TE – Brock Bowers – Georgia     Not many pundits had Bowers still available at 26, but the dolphins got lucky and add the next great TE, and another weapon for Tua.                NFL comparison – Travis Kelce
  27. Dallas Cowboys – DB – Kalen King – Penn State    How far would the Cowboys of gone in the playoffs if they were fully healthy? Arguable their second best defender, Diggs missed almost the entire year.  Bland, Lewis, and Gilmore are nice pieces, but not Diggs.  Adding depth and dogs can only help the Boys backend  NFL comparison –  Derek Stingley Jr.
  28. Detroit Lions – DL – Bralen Trice – Washington   The weakest part of the Lions team is their defense.  They have no one opposite Hutchinson, and also have no depth on their D-Line.  NFL comparison – Von Miller
  29. Philidelphia Eagles – OL – Tyler Guyton- Oklahoma    Kelce, and company are getting old, and Jordan Davis is still young.  Must add depth to the Line, so taking the best available approach.        NFL comparison – Isaiah Winn
  30. Houston Texans – DB – Cooper DeJean – Iowa     This kid is a football player, period.  Might not be the biggest, fastest, or stongest but still an absolute BALLER!    NFL comparison – Jason Sehorn
  31. San Francisco 49ers- DL – Kris Jenkins – Michigan   If the 49ers D-Line wasn’y freaky enough, how about adding the son of an NFL baller, who was the best defender on the National Champion Michigan Wolverines.    NFL comparison – Chase Young
